Abstract

This article examines the impact of culture on the development of writing competence, employing a linguocultural framework to explore the interconnection between language and cultural norms. It delves into how cultural values, traditions, and rhetorical preferences shape writing practices and influence learners’ ability to communicate effectively. The article also discusses the significance of incorporating cultural awareness into writing education to enhance cross-cultural communication skills. Using theoretical insights and practical case studies, this paper argues that adopting a linguocultural approach enables learners to adapt their writing style for diverse cultural contexts, thereby improving their overall communicative competence.
