Abstract

This research paper is dedicated to a comprehensive, multi-dimensional linguopoetic and linguocultural exploration of the prose works of Erkin Azam, one of the most prominent and structurally innovative figures in contemporary Uzbek literature. The primary focus of the study centers on the structural, aesthetic, and cognitive functions of national mental-cultural codes, phraseological paradigms, dialectal variations, and conceptual metaphors that define the author’s idiosyncratic literary style. By conducting a meticulous textual analysis of his seminal works, including The Noise (Shovqin), Guli-guli, The Late Man (Kechikkan odam), and Anor, this paper evaluates how the author utilizes intricate linguistic matrices to mirror the shift in the socio-cultural consciousness of the late 20th and early 21st-century Uzbek society. The research successfully demonstrates that Erkin Azam’s prose serves as an intellectual linguistic repository, decoding the modern transformations of the Uzbek national identity, ethical paradigms, and linguistic worldview.
