Abstract

This research paper provides a comprehensive investigation into thelinguistic and aesthetic nature of metaphors in Ray Bradbury’s dystopian masterpiece,"Fahrenheit 451". The study focuses on "Artistic Equivalence," examining how translatorsnavigate the complex web of Bradbury’s imagery. By analyzing the symbiotic relationshipbetween technology, nature, and destruction, the article evaluates strategies such asmetaphorical shift, image preservation, and conceptual mapping. The research concludesthat the successful translation of Bradbury’s prose requires a deep semiotic understandingof the source text.
