Abstract

Chronic heart failure (CHF) is one of the severe complications of ischemic heart  disease (IHD), in the development of which myocardial contractile function and  structural changes in the cardiac muscle play an important role [1–2]. The MYH7 gene, which encodes the β-myosin heavy chain, one of the major proteins of  myocardial sarcomeres, plays an important role in these processes [3–4].
