Abstract

This article investigates the development level and economic efficiency of industrial sectors in increasing the export potential of Surkhandarya region. In the Republic of Uzbekistan, modernizing the economy and increasing export volumes are among the priority directions of state economic policy. Surkhandarya region, with its geographical location, natural resources, and labor potential, possesses significant opportunities for developing export potential. However, the insufficient share of processed industrial products in the export structure hinders the full utilization of existing opportunities. Therefore, the impact of industry on export volume in the regional economy has been analyzed theoretically and practically. Key factors influencing export volume were identified, and an econometric model was proposed to assess their interrelationship. As a result of the research, priority directions and practical recommendations for increasing export potential were developed. In conclusion, the development of industrial sectors is one of the most important factors in increasing export potential in Surkhandarya region. Specifically, the processing industry and investment activity significantly influence export volume. The proposed econometric model can be used to forecast the future development of regional exports and to formulate economic policy.
