Abstract

The physical and mechanical properties of fused assemblies were determined; the analysis  of changes in air permeability and areal density made it possible to predict them in advance with a  known standard deviation. It was found that adhesion is statistically independent of the raw fabric  structure and that the levers for controlling it lie at the adhesive coating and fusing stage — adhesive  dot density, areal density of the shell fabric and interlining, and fusing conditions; the effect of weave  also acts through the interaction of the interlining surface relief with the adhesive dots.
