Abstract

The human digestive system plays a fundamental role in maintaining metabolic balance and ensuring the proper functioning of all body systems. This article explores the anatomical structure and physiological importance of the digestive organs, emphasizing their coordinated function in nutrient digestion, absorption, and energy production. Special attention is given to the interconnection between structural organization and functional efficiency of the gastrointestinal tract. The study also highlights common clinical aspects related to digestive disorders and their impact on human health. The findings underline the significance of understanding digestive system physiology for improving medical education and clinical practice.
