Abstract

This article examines the complex impact of music lessons on students’ cognitive and social development. The study explores how participation in music education influences cognitive functions such as memory, attention, and problem-solving, as well as social competencies including communication, empathy, and cooperation. Using a mixed-methods approach, the research synthesizes quantitative and qualitative findings from classroom-based observations, cognitive assessments, and interview data. The results indicate that structured music education significantly enhances both cognitive performance and social interaction skills. The study confirms that music education contributes to holistic human development and should be considered an essential component of modern educational systems. The article also provides pedagogical recommendations for improving the effectiveness of music teaching practices.
