Abstract
This article examines the linguocultural and cognitive characteristics of phraseologicalunits in the Uzbek language within the framework of the anthropocentric paradigm of modernlinguistics. The study analyzes the role of phraseological units in reflecting the national mentality, culture, traditions, and values of the Uzbek people, as well as their relationship with conceptualstructures in human cognition. Furthermore, the semantic, pragmatic, and cognitive features ofphraseological units are explored through contemporary linguistic approaches, and their functionalpotential in discourse is scientifically substantiated. The findings reveal that phraseological units arenot merely stable lexical combinations but also significant linguocultural and cognitive means thatembody the cultural memory, mentality, and worldview of the Uzbek people.
