Abstract

This article explores the role of games as an effective pedagogical tool in developing the four essential language skills: listening, speaking, reading, and writing in English language learning. The study examines theoretical perspectives and practical applications of game-based learning in the classroom. It argues that games enhance learners’ motivation, reduce anxiety, and create meaningful contexts for communication. The paper also analyzes how different types of games contribute to each language skill and highlights their importance in student-centered learning environments.
