Abstract

The use of medicinal drugs during pregnancy is one of the most complex areas of clinical pharmacology, as pharmacotherapy affects both the maternal organism and fetal development. This article discusses the risk–benefit assessment of drug use in pregnancy, mechanisms of teratogenicity, and drug safety evaluation based on FDA classification and international guidelines.
