Abstract
Newborn care is a critical component of neonatal health and survival.Appropriate primary care during the first hours and days of life significantly reduces neonatalmorbidity and mortality. Essential newborn care includes immediate assessment, thermal protection,hygienic cord care, early initiation of breastfeeding, infection prevention, and continuousmonitoring of the infant's condition. This article examines the principles, importance, and modernapproaches to primary newborn care, emphasizing evidence-based practices that contribute tohealthy growth and development
